Mobile whirlpool
This bath is mostly used to improve the blood flow to the extremities of the body. For these treatments the temperature of the bath water is kept at thermo-neutral to prevent any unfavourable temperature effects. In combination with the Pulsaerator and the jet pipe a whirlpool effect is created in the water. The whirlpool effect creates a gentle mechanical stimulus to the skin of the patient, resulting in dilatation of the blood vessels and an increase in the blood flow. By regulating the water pressure it is possible to graduate the mechanical effects.
Experiments have proved that this bath is particularly suitable for patients with sympathetic reflex dystrophy (Südeck´s syndrome or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) for regulating the stimuli to the skin or normalising the regional blood flow.
The large whirlpool is used in combination with the Pulsaerator, pipe jet and a height adjustable chair.
The smaller mobile whirlpool has a built in water pump and is particularly suitable for the lower arms, ankles and feet. This whirlpool is adjustable in height and can be used with an ordinary chair.
